RailYatri, India’s premiere long distance travel app and Juggernaut Books, a platform to discover and read high quality, affordable books have launched an exciting offering for book lovers across the country.
Launched in April 2016, the Juggernaut e-books platform has close to 1 million downloads across android and iOS. In May 2017, the writer’s platform went live to offer amateur writers an ability to digitally publish their content and stand a chance to win publishing contracts. The writer’s platform in the past six months has received just under 500 stories with 9 of them securing publishing contracts.
RailYatri has an active user base of over 10 million travellers every month and starting now these users will be able to access a thoughtfully curated catalogue of books for the travellers in both English & Hindi. The catalogue will contain free books and books at micro price points ranging from Rs 10-80 including titles from partner publishers. The train travellers can now look forward to enjoying evergreen classics, current best sellers and editor recommendations from Twinkle Khanna’s The Legend of Lakshmi Prasad, Rajdeep Sardesai’s Democracy’s XI, Rujuta Diwekar’s Indian Super Foods etc. all in the convenience of their smartphones.
Speaking of the partnership, the founder & publisher, Chiki Sarkar said, “We are thrilled to start this relationship with RailYatri. Whenever you think about books & reading, we want you to think about Juggernaut and train travel is a perfect opportunity to catch up on your reading.”
“RailYatri is travel marketplace and reading is an indispensable part of travel. As a train traveller myself, walking over to the quintessential book shop at the platform is a must-do before any trip. The association between RailYatri and Juggernaut Books is giving this age-old ritual a modern twist. RailYatris can now have their personal ‘Library on Cloud’ and can read as many books during the travel hours. This will go a long way in making travel more memorable & fun,” says Co-founder, Kapil Raizada.
