On August 9, 2019 the Delhi High Court restrained New York company Ink Mango Inc which started a website called, a ‘publication for South Asian stories’, in February 2019, from using the name ‘Juggernaut’. ‘Juggernaut’ is the registered trademark of Juggernaut Books Private Limited, which was set up in 2015, and Ink Mango has been directed by the court not to use this name, or any other similar name, for their website or on social media platforms, including Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn. The order of the Delhi High Court can be found here.

The court also directed Namecheap Inc, the Company which registered the website, to block the domain name pending further orders.

We expect Ink Mango Inc and Namecheap to immediately comply with the orders of the Delhi High Court, failing which their disobedience will invite consequences in Indian law.
