Organisation – Plan India

What They Do – 

A branch of Plan International, Plan India is the country’s leading child development organization with a focus on water, hygiene, education, employment, child protection and disaster management. They’ve directly impacted 2 million children in 2020 via numerous programs running in rural India. 

During the pandemic, they’ve been providing Covid-relief in areas beyond India’s cities and metros. They cover villages in Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Bihar, Maharashtra, Delhi, Jharkhand, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Odisha and Tamil Nadu. Their initiative called Help India Heal is providing meals to underprivileged families, arranging PPE kits for frontline workers and oxygen concentrators for medical camps and also conducting vaccinations and awareness programs in villages.
